Belinda’s owners abandoned her at a local pet store. She was skinny and neglected. She was very hungry and eager to eat when we got her. Additionally, she was so hungry that she ate a plastic plant decoration before we got her and became impacted.
Soon after we got her, she was able to pass the plastic. She started gaining some weight with a proper diet. At the Bearded Dragon Foundation, we feed our rescues a mixture of live bugs, like dubia, and fresh greens and veggies. As a juvenile, Belinda eats more protein but still enjoys her daily salad of mustard greens, escarole, and squash.
Today Belinda is still doing well and loves eating.
